BIO: After serving
in the U.S. Marine
Corps and receiving
a Bachelor of
Arts in Philosophy,
Mr. Barrett began
his career in
the financial
services industry
in 1970. His
focus through
the years has
been on advising
self-employed
business owners,
emerging growth
companies, and
their employees.
During
the 1980�s
Mr. Barrett held
senior management
positions in
Southern California
and New York
City with several
national financial
services firms.
In the late 1980�s,
he joined a Los
Angeles based
regional investment
banking firm
as their Senior
Managing Principal
and Board Member.
In September 1991,
Mr. Barrett founded
Palisades Capital
Group with the
mission of offering
investment banking
advisory, valuation,
and management
consulting services
to emerging growth
operating companies.
In 2004, he formed
Health Insurance
Brokers, LLC
to act in partnership
with independent
insurance brokers,
to provide health
insurance advice
and related employee
benefits to the
self-employed,
business owners
and their employees.
Mr. Barrett advises
the Management
and Boards of
Directors of
a number of public
and private companies,
and several non-profit
organizations
regarding individual
and group health
insurance coverage
and employee
benefits. He
is a frequent
lecturer to business
and government
sponsored forums
and workshops.
