Moving
YOUR Message Forward Out of a dozen definitions
found on the web for podcasting
none felt perfectly appropriate
so we massaged one of them
and
came
up with the following;
Podcasting:
a term that came from
a contraction
of iPod and broadcasting.
Today, even a service
like AudioAcrobat allows
you to provide your
audience with audio/video
that can be played on iPods, or other MP3 Players.
Podcasting allows your
listeners to receive
updated installments
by subscribing to your "podcast".
Even without the external
device the podcast
is available on your
computer
via iTunes, Window
Media Player or other audio program. Global
Connections Networking podcasts
member interviews as
well as our monthly teleseminars. "Member Interviews" allow
GCN members to get their
information out to the
listening public and move
their message forward. Monthly teleseminars provide
education and information
to Entrepreneurs, Solo-Professionals
and Small Business Owners.
I
think I should do a podcast
on podcasting because
if there is a way to screw
it up - I've done it. I
tend to be one of those
kinesthetic folks that
need the visceral experience
of doing something new
and we've finally gotten
in the grove. The comforting
thought is AudioAcrobat
allowed me to cut the steps
down (it's walks
you through the process
and helps tou add it to
iTunes too).
