Connections Networking, Inc. was created based on taking the best we've experienced from networking and adding other
benefits from our experience in technology with The Software Magician (www.softwaremagician.com)
and coaching with Freedom's Formula (www.freedomsformula.com).
We've seen challenges
that include:
- Meetings that are so filled with oration and announcements that members/guests attending have little opportunity during the meeting to network (very structured)
- Meetings that have no structure at all and seem to be more of a social event
- Meeting times that make it a challenge for family oriented business owners to attend
- Members that come in and once they've signed/paid they find themselves on their own -
the feedback loop is almost non-exist
- Members of an organization that have to pay twice to be a member of a specific chapter - and if they attend another chapter there is a sense of non-affiliation
- Costs for attending meetings become such a high investment for networkers that it feels like an expense
- Seeing the ROI becomes a challenge when first starting out - a high price to pay for marketing when you may not be that effective yet. Additionally depending on your hourly rate - that cost can escalate quickly
- Networking organizations that - by their very structure - target a local area and don't challenge their members to play bigger in this world
And the list goes on...while all of these scenarios work for some - they don't work for everyone.
We decided to
flip that around and create a global organization
that will:
- Give the members plenty of networking time in a lightly structured atmosphere (at least 45 minutes networking during each meeting)
- Flexibility as to meeting times. (Meetings times are currently at 9-11AM, 6-8 PM, 6:30-8:30 PM and we're working on 1-3 PM)
- Free attendance at all networking meetings for all members
- The opportunity to set up new meetings with no extra financial investment
- International visability through a web page that includes their:
- ABC (Audio Business Card - or elevator speech - same thing)
- Audio Interview (up to 45 minutes to share yourself - business - philosophy)
- Bio
- Background information about their business (text taken from interview highlights)
- Link to their own website
- SEO
- Coaching for their ABC content and delivery(if they choose)
- Mastermind groups(recordings available afterwards)
- Tele-conferences (recordings available afterwards)
- Referral bonus
- And more
GCN encourages members to share their passion in their profession, to be clear in their presentation and
to connect with a wider audience so that they can build a more profitable business/lifestyle. We currently have the chapters in the
Southern CA area and we're working with folks in NM, Australia, Northern CA and more to set up
new meeting locations. That's a big picture overview.
